Dr. Basel Roshdy has 30 years of professional experience in areas of private equity, venture capital, deals making, and ventures business development. He has actively participated in many deals in technology, education, infrastructure, and Green Energy sectors over 20 years in Egypt and MENA region. He studied, evaluated and executed investments in more than 80 companies and a number of PE and VC investment funds locally and abroad, and has realized many Exits and M&As in Egypt and abroad.

In addition, Basrl started my financial experiences career in the banking sector whereby he worked in corporate lending, project finance and syndication. Still, during his PE and VC career afterwards, he participated in arranging debt financing for a number of deals in energy, telecom and infrastructure sectors with local and foreign banks as well as DFIs.

Basel studied construction engineering, MBA, and doctoral degree in finance and investment management.

He is a Founding Board Member and general secretary of the Egyptian Private Equity & VC Association (EPEA), as well as other companies, and actively participated in establishing and growing many business organizations and spoke in several tens of professional conferences and events. He has also participated in creating and empowering many partnerships and alliances locally and regionally, as well as several mentorship programs and consulting assignments.
