Eng. Tarek Shoukry

Eng. Tarek Shoukry is the Chairman of Arabia for Real Estate Investment and Tourism, one of Egypt’s leading real estate development companies. He is also the Chairman of Real Estate Development Chamber of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), and the Vice President of New Cairo Investors Association.

He started his career in a number of residential and administrative projects for five years, as the owner of a construction company, which single handedly developed dozens of governmental and private projects throughout Egypt. In 1992, he established Arabia Holding for real state and tourism investment.

Arabia Holding quickly made its presence by constructing several residential buildings in Heliopolis, Nasr City and Agamy in Alexandria, and then expanded to develop fully integrated projects in Egypt.

With 27 years of experience in the real estate development sector, Shoukry established Arabiano, one of the largest ‘above average’ housing projects in 1998 in New Cairo. His unparalleled success in developing the entire project in four years span and delivering it in 2002 set his companies on the forefront of the Egyptian real estate market.

Over a period of only four years, from 2006 until 2010, Shoukry succeeded in launching and completing a number of leading projects in the sector, notably Moon Valley 1 and 2 in the Southern and Northern investors regions in New Cairo, including Smart Building and a number of individual residential buildings in the golf and Choueifat areas.

Eng. Shoukry’s consecutive successes as a pioneer of real estate developers helped him break into the field of tourism, as he established “Hatag” Tourism Company to serve the projects of Arabia Holding investments. In 2008, Eng. Shoukry was able to establish his name in the hospitality and tourism sector by developing “Bungalows” North Coast, one of the most successful projects, which already delivered the first and second phase.

In addition to his long list of successes in Egypt, Eng. Tarek Shoukry was able to obtain a wide network on the local and international spectrum, qualifying him to manage the development of two large real estate projects in the best touristic areas in Dubai.

Eng. Shoukry is considered one of the most prominent figures in the real estate sector, through his outspoken stance on many issues related to the sector with officials and competent authorities; in his capacity in several NGOs and the Real Estate Development Chamber in the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI). Shoukry holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Alexandria University in 1987.
