Eng. Ashraf Sabry is a prominent expert in the technology business, boasting over twenty-five years of experience in finance and information technology.

Driven by his ambitious strategic vision and inspirational leadership, Ashraf Sabry founded Fawry for Banking Technology and Electronic Payments in 2008. Today, Fawry stands as the largest electronic payment network in Egypt and one of the fastest-growing companies in the Middle East.

Under his leadership, Fawry has successfully transformed the financial technology sector by introducing innovative solutions that enable individuals and businesses to access financial services online easily and securely. These solutions have been integral in driving the digital transformation of the Egyptian economy, positioning Fawry as a key player in the market.

Before founding Fawry, Ashraf Sabry held several leadership positions at multinational companies. He began his career at IBM Egypt, where he spent 10 years as Vice President of Sales, driving the company’s expansion in the Egyptian market. He then joined Raya Holding as CEO, overseeing the company’s operations, finance, and business development. His leadership played a pivotal role in solidifying Raya’s standing as a leading technology company in Egypt.

Ashraf Sabry holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom and a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Cairo University.
